Prabhu Urja Krishi Paryatan Bikas Limited, along with other companies under the Prabhu Group, has partnered with Kumari Capital Limited to issue shares, advancing a bond issuance worth Rs. 30 crores for Prabhu Cable Car & Tourism Limited. This strategic move aims to bolster tourism and infrastructure development in Nepal.
The Siddhartha Cable Car project, operational since last Ashwin, has already attracted 75,000 tourists. This project connects Deurali Dada in Butwal to Nuwakot in Palpa, offering visitors access to historical and cultural landmarks such as Raja Manimukunda Sen’s palace, Kamana Bhairav’s temple, and other archaeological sites. The project has significantly contributed to regional tourism, highlighting the area’s cultural heritage.
Plans include the construction of cable car services at Badimalika Temple in Bajura and Ichchakamana Temple in Chitwan, which are expected to further enhance Nepal’s tourism offerings. Prabhu Cable Car and Tourism Limited, the driving force behind these developments, also maintains a strong presence in hydropower, agriculture, and adventure tourism, reinforcing its commitment to multi-sectoral growth.
The recent agreement, signed by Bhoj Kumar Khadka, Chairman of Prabhu Cable Car, and Pushpa Sharma, CEO of Kumari Capital, underscores the company’s financial robustness. Prabhu Cable Car reported a profit of over Rs. 5 crores in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, reflecting its solid performance and promising future.
This partnership marks a milestone in Nepal’s tourism and infrastructure development, creating new opportunities for cultural exploration and economic growth.
