Under the slogan “Foundation of Economic Development: Agriculture, Tourism, Industry, and Trade,” a grand Gandaki Provincial Festival is set to take place along the banks of the Narayani River in Nawalpur. The event, organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Gandaki Province Committee, aims to boost agriculture and tourism in the region, according to FNCCI Gandaki Province President Amrit Bhattchan.
Scheduled from Kartik 23 to Mangsir 10, the festival will feature over 300 stalls, showcasing a diverse range of goods including handicrafts, agricultural products, automobiles, IT equipment, industrial items, daily essentials, and textiles. To support local agricultural producers, 50 stalls will be provided free of charge for the promotion and market exposure of local agricultural products.
President Bhattchan highlighted that the festival will invigorate economic activities, encourage exploration of new opportunities, and reinforce Gandaki Province’s pride in ongoing development projects. The festival is expected to promote key provincial initiatives, including the Lokaha Industrial Zone in Nawalpur, Shuklagandaki Municipality’s industrial park, Pokhara’s industrial village, and the Dhauwadi iron mine.
This provincial festival aims to not only showcase Gandaki’s vast agricultural and industrial potential but also foster sustainable growth in tourism, thereby supporting economic development in Nawalpur and beyond.
