Preeti Rateria Agrawal has etched her name in history by becoming the first woman from Nepal’s Marwari community to successfully summit Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain peak.
Agrawal reached the summit on the morning of May 21, 2026, marking a landmark achievement not only for the Marwari community but also for Nepal’s mountaineering history. Her accomplishment has been widely celebrated as a symbol of determination, resilience and inspiration for women and young climbers across the country.
Preeti is the daughter of Kamlesh Kumar Rateria, President of Sunsari Marwadi Samaj Kathmandu. Community members and well-wishers have expressed immense pride over her remarkable feat, describing it as a moment of honour for the entire Marwari community.
First Pranic Healer and Arhatic Yogi to Summit Everest
According to Ngaa Tenji Sherpa, founder of The Summit Force Pvt. Ltd., Preeti climbed Everest with experienced climbing guides Pasang Sherpa and Nima Thinduk Sherpa.
With the successful ascent, she has also become the world’s first Pranic Healer and Arhatic Yogi to summit Mount Everest, adding another unique distinction to her historic climb.
In a statement shared by the community, Preeti said, “With hard work, self-confidence, and dreams, success is surely achieved.”
A Rapidly Rising Mountaineering Journey
Preeti’s Everest success marks another major milestone in her fast-growing mountaineering career.
Earlier, she became the first Marwari woman from Nepal to summit Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest mountain.
She successfully climbed Manaslu on September 23, 2025, accompanied by climbing guide Pasang Sherpa under the management of The Summit Force Pvt. Ltd..
Her mountaineering journey began with the ascent of Lobuche East in May 2024. She later scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in October 2024 and Mera Peak in April 2025.
