President Paudel Receives Mahaprasad from Dolakha Bhimeshwar Temple

President Ram Chandra Paudel was presented with the Mahaprasad of Dolakha Bhimeshwar Temple today at the President’s residence, Sheetal Niwas. The presentation was made by a delegation from the Dolakha Bhimeshwar Temple Guthi and Management Committee, accompanied by the temple’s priests.

It is a traditional practice to offer Mahaprasad to the head of state after wiping the sweat from the statue of Bhimeshwar at the temple. This custom follows an occurrence of sweat on the statue, considered a significant event. After the Mahaprasad is handed over to the President, a ritualistic apology prayer (Kshama Puja) is performed at an auspicious time.

On Saturday afternoon, sweat was observed on the left side of the Bhimeshwar statue, prompting the preparation and delivery of the Mahaprasad to President Paudel. This ritual underscores the deep cultural and religious traditions associated with the Dolakha Bhimeshwar Temple, highlighting its importance in Nepalese society.
