Banke National Park Heroes Rescue Problematic Tiger from Crisis

A technical team from Banke National Park has rescued a problematic Bengal tiger with the assistance of Bardiya National Park and the National Trust for Nature Conservation. The tiger was rescued from Balapur, Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-8, according to Birendra Kandel, Chief Conservation Officer of Banke National Park.

Kandel stated that the rescued tiger is around two years old. Since it is young and unable to hunt, it likely entered the human settlement in search of easy prey.

Although the tiger did not cause human casualties, it killed three goats, one sheep, and a calf in local sheds. Upon receiving reports from villagers, the team, along with two elephants, safely captured the tiger. The rescued tiger has been placed in an enclosure at Khairi Post, Khairikhola, inside the park.
