Grand Inauguration of Nepal’s First 51-Feet Tall Panchamukhi Ganesh Idol at Annapurna Cable Car

Pokhara’s Sedibagar is set to witness a historic religious and cultural event with the grand inauguration of Nepal’s first 51-foot-tall idol of Shree Panchamukhi Ganesh. Organized as part of the Shrimad Bhagwat Gyan Mahayagya and Religious Tourism Festival 2081, this grand celebration will take place from Falgun 14 to Falgun 21, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri.

The inauguration festival will commence with a Kalash Yatra, which will begin from Gaighat Bagar on Falgun 14 at 8:00 AM. Devotees will then embark on a sacred journey via the Annapurna Cable Car, carrying the ceremonial Kalash to the Mahayagya site. The event will feature various religious and spiritual activities, including Samuhik Bratabandha (mass sacred thread ceremony), the lighting of a hundred thousand oil lamps (Lakh Batti), Rudri chanting, and the revered Chaurasi Puja (84 deity worship ceremony). Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, the festival will also host soulful bhajans and kirtans, creating an environment of divine devotion.

This grand initiative not only promotes religious and cultural significance but also enhances faith-based tourism in Pokhara, making Sedibagar a prominent pilgrimage destination. The event is expected to draw thousands of devotees and tourists, further solidifying Pokhara’s reputation as a key spiritual and tourism hub in Nepal.
