Public Holiday Announced for Machhindranath’s Bhoto Jatra

The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced a public holiday on Sunday, Shrawan 20, to mark the occasion of Machhindranath’s Bhoto Jatra. This public holiday will apply to the districts of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.

According to the notice published in the Nepal Gazette on 29th Magh 2080, the decision to grant a public holiday on the day of Machhindranath’s Bhoto Jatra has been extended to all three districts in the Kathmandu Valley. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued this notification to inform the public about the holiday.

The notification states: “About the decision published in the Nepal Gazette on 29th Magh 2080, regarding the public holiday for Machhindranath’s Bhoto Jatra, it is hereby announced that a public holiday will be observed on Shrawan 20, 2081, across the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley. This information is published for the awareness of all concerned parties.”
