Radisson Hotel Group has opened the Radisson Blu Hotel, Sinaia Cota 1400, a new 68-room mountain hotel located at Cota 1400 in Romania’s Bucegi Mountains. The property combines contemporary alpine design, luxury accommodation, wellness facilities and direct access to mountain activities, positioning it as a year-round destination for leisure, skiing, wellness and events.
The Radisson Blu hotel occupies a historic building dating back to 1939, which has been restored and redesigned to provide a modern luxury experience while retaining its connection with the destination’s mountain heritage. The Radisson Blu Hotel is located directly beside the cable car connecting Cota 1400 with the higher Cota 2000 ski area.
Prime mountain location
The new hotel is situated on Strada Cota 1400 in Sinaia, in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains. Its location gives guests convenient access to ski slopes, hiking trails, cable car services and other outdoor activities throughout the year. Several of Sinaia’s major attractions are also within easy reach, including Peleș Castle, Sinaia Monastery and the Casino of Sinaia. The nearby gondola provides access toward the Bucegi Plateau, where visitors can explore famous natural formations such as Babele and the Sphinx. The Radisson Blu hotel is approximately two hours by road from Bucharest and about 125 kilometres from Henri Coandă International Airport, making it accessible for both domestic and international visitors.

The 68 rooms and suites have been designed around the surrounding mountain environment, using natural wood, stone, warm textures and earthy colours. Accommodation ranges from Standard and Premium Rooms to luxury suites, including an 89 square metre Presidential Suite. Most rooms offer panoramic views of the mountains, while selected rooms have private terraces overlooking the surrounding landscape. Guests also receive complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and other facilities associated with the Radisson Blu brand.
Alpine dining and entertainment
The Radisson Blu hotel offers several food and beverage experiences. COCON Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, combining contemporary European cuisine with locally inspired flavours and seasonal ingredients. The menu includes grilled meats, freshwater fish, desserts and a selection of Romanian and international wines. TONIC Bar & Cigar Lounge provides a more relaxed environment for coffee, aperitifs, cocktails, premium spirits and wines, with views of the Bucegi Mountains. A further attraction, STUDIO 1400 Après-Ski & Terrace, is scheduled to open later in 2026. It will offer casual food, pizzas, cocktails and seasonal drinks, while also hosting DJ sessions, celebrations and private events during the winter season.

One of the Radisson Blu hotel’s major features is the FORÊT KITSUNE Spa & Wellness, covering approximately 700 square metres. The facility includes an indoor heated swimming pool with hydrotherapy jets, an outdoor heated pool overlooking the mountains, saunas, hammam, steam bath, saline room, treatment rooms and relaxation areas. The spa combines Japanese-inspired wellness traditions with elements drawn from the surrounding forests and alpine environment. The Radisson Blu hotel also provides a Technogym-equipped fitness centre with a retractable glass roof, allowing guests to exercise while enjoying the mountain surroundings.
