The Association of Climbing Operators of Nepal has awarded certificates of appreciation to three exceptional climbers, including Phunjo Lama, who set a new record by ascending Mount Everest in 14 hours and 31 minutes.
The awards were presented during a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Friday, with Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang officiating.
Dawa Finjok Sherpa was recognized for his remarkable achievement of summiting Mount Everest in just 13 hours and 35 minutes. Additionally, photojournalist and climber Purnima Shrestha received accolades for setting a world record by climbing Mount Everest three times simultaneously.
These honors celebrate the extraordinary feats of these climbers and their significant contributions to the field of mountaineering.
