Mangala Set to Transform with Road Upgrade After a 14-Year Delay

After a 14-year wait, the 10 km road connecting Sim in Mangala Rural Municipality-2 to the popular tourist destination Todke via Kotgaun, Khumlya, Paiyupata, Kuhun, and Purnagaun is finally undergoing upgrades.

The project, which is being carried out with a budget of NPR 40 million and jointly funded by the federal government and Mangala Rural Municipality, is being completed.

This year, work has begun on widening the road at Sim and Khumlya, constructing drainage systems, building gabion walls, and laying concrete pavement. According to Chief Administrative Officer Gopal Sharma, the project is the largest undertaken by Mangala Rural Municipality this year, to complete construction by the end of Ashadh.

Currently, work is progressing rapidly, with road widening and gabion wall construction in areas such as Simchowk, Patal, Kuhun, and Purnagaun. The upgrades aim to improve transportation infrastructure, benefiting both locals and tourists visiting Todke.
