A Saurya Airlines aircraft crashed near Tribhuvan International Airport en route to Pokhara for an engine test. The plane, with flight number 9N-AME, was carrying 19 passengers.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the passengers included engineers and technicians from Saurya Airlines. The aircraft was scheduled for a comprehensive engine overhaul (C-check) and was to be stationed in a hangar in Pokhara for a month for repairs.
