Saurya Airlines Crash at Tribhuvan International Airport: 19 Onboard Including Pilot and Co-Pilot

A tragic accident involving a Saurya Airlines aircraft occurred at Tribhuvan International Airport, with 19 individuals onboard, including the pilot and co-pilot. According to sources from the Civil Aviation Authority, the pilot, Manish Shakya, and co-pilot, S. Katwal, were among those on the flight.

The passengers included Amitman Maharjan, Sagar Acharya, Dilip Verma, Manuraj Sharma, Ashwin Niroula, Sudip Lal Joshi, Sarbesh Marasini, Shyam Bindukar, Navaraj Ale, Rajaram Acharya, Priza Khatri, Adhiraj Sharma, Uddhav Puri, Yagyaprasad Poudel, Santosh Mahato, Punya Ratna Shahi, and a foreign national, Aref Reda. The pilot was rescued and transported to a hospital for treatment.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dambar Bk, who was overseeing airport security, reported that the bodies of the passengers were scattered at the crash site and have been collected. The collected remains are being prepared for transport to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

The Saurya Airlines flight was en route to Pokhara for maintenance purposes, carrying employees and technicians.
