Siddhartha Hospitality has unveiled plans for the inaugural ‘Nepal Curry Chef of the Year 2024’ competition, aiming to celebrate and elevate the art of Nepali cuisine. Winners of this prestigious event will earn a coveted opportunity to showcase their skills at the esteemed ‘Great British Curry Festival 2024,’ slated for September in the United Kingdom, with all expenses covered.
In partnership with world-renowned chef Tommy Miah’s ‘Great British Curry Festival,’ the competition intends to spotlight the rich heritage and global significance of Nepali culinary traditions.
CEO Santosh Neupane expressed his enthusiasm for promoting Nepali gastronomy on the global stage through this initiative. “This competition is a platform to not only recognize the talent of Nepali chefs but also to enhance international appreciation for our unique culinary heritage,” Neupane emphasized.
Interested participants, including establishments affiliated with Siddhartha Group such as hotels, restaurants, and cafes, are encouraged to apply through collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board. Online applications, overseen by event organizer Durgadatt Pant, are also available for aspiring participants.
