Small Plane Crash in Southern California Claims Two Lives, Injures 18

A tragic plane crash in Southern California has resulted in the death of two individuals and left 18 others injured. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Fullerton, Orange County.

According to Fullerton Police Department spokesperson Kristi Wells, the accident happened at 2:09 PM when a small aircraft collided with the roof of a furniture manufacturing building. Approximately 200 people were working inside the building at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders, including police and firefighters, swiftly arrived at the scene and managed to bring the resulting fire under control. Video footage shared by ABC News showed plumes of white smoke billowing from the roof of the large structure.

The identities of the deceased and injured, as well as whether they were aboard the aircraft or working inside the building, remain unclear. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The accident occurred near the Fullerton Municipal Airport, which features a single runway and a helipad. Investigators are examining the cause of the crash and whether any safety protocols were breached.
