A team of South Korean investors has visited Jhapa as part of a study tour, targeting the upcoming investment conference in Koshi Province on Baishakh 17 and 18. The delegation, organized by the Korea Nepal International Exchange Association, will explore investment possibilities in various districts of Koshi Province, including Jhapa.

The team met with the mayor of Mechinagar, Gopalchandra Budhathoki, to discuss potential investment areas. The delegation visited locations such as the Kakarbhitta border, bus park, Mechi Bridge on the Asian Highway, and NMC Dairy Industry. They expressed interest in investing in sectors like agriculture, tourism, paper production, and railway development.

Discussions included topics such as building a multipurpose bus park, establishing a bio-organic fertilizer plant, developing tourism infrastructure, advancing agricultural technologies, and creating a skilled workforce for technology-friendly agriculture. National representative of the Korea Nepal International Exchange Association, Pradeep Ghimire, and others emphasized the need for appropriate government policies and programs to support investment opportunities in Nepal.
