Sukute has been designated as a tourist destination with a master plan consisting of 15 points. At a function yesterday, the Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality made the announcement. The event was opened by former Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, who read a 15-point document that outlined both short- and long-term guidelines for Sukute’s development as a tourism hub. Sapkota stressed in his speech that the foundation of economic growth is tourism. He maintained that vision and possibility exploration are necessary despite Sindhupalchowk’s enormous tourism potential.

Yubaraj Dulal, a member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, said that the designation of Sukute as a tourist destination opens the door for the entire Sindhupalchowk district to be designated as a tourist destination. The Sindhu Sukute Tourism Business Association’s president, Mahendra Singh Thapa, described the designation of Sukute as a tourist destination as a source of pride. According to Mayor Sapkota, the decision was made in light of the results of the first Festival, which took place in February 2020, conversations with travel agencies, and the 2021 national beach volleyball tournament, which was organized by the Sindhu Sukute Tourism Business Association.

Additionally, regulations governed by local governance will be established to guarantee the sustainable operation of hotels, resorts, and associated enterprises. There are plans to build it’s tourism infrastructure, and the upcoming municipal assembly will pass legislation to establish the Sukute Tourism Development Committee. The committee will oversee tourism fees and allocate them to it’s infrastructure development.

Every year, the municipality will set aside funds for it’s tourism infrastructure, create an agricultural collection center to collect goods from the surrounding areas, and collaborate with the Sindhu Sukute Tourism Business Association to supply local hotels and resorts. Initiatives for biodiversity, ecotourism, river conservation, and environmental preservation will also be implemented. River-based excavations will be managed scientifically, and certain areas will be designated as rafting zones. According to the declaration, the beach wants to develop into a center for water-based tourism.
