TAAN Hosts Lhosar Cultural Event To Promote Tourism

The Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) is organizing a joint Lhosar cultural program to promote the festival as a tourist attraction and foster harmony among tourism stakeholders and businesses.

According to TAAN, the event will take place on Wednesday, March 12 (Falgun 28) at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu, with Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak as the chief guest.

Organized in collaboration with around 2,400 trekking agencies affiliated with Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal, the program will celebrate Losar as a cultural festival, bringing together Sherpa, Gurung, Tamang, Hyolmo, Dura, Jirel, Bhote, Walung, and other communities.

TAAN President Sagar Pandey stated that the event will feature traditional dances and authentic Lhosar delicacies. Additionally, well-known comedians will perform, and appreciation certificates will be distributed to promoters, sponsors, and cultural team members by the chief guest. Pandey emphasized that the program aims to attract tourists and strengthen ties among tourism sector stakeholders.
