On 11th February 2025, the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jalpa International Business Group (JIBG) Pvt. Ltd, Kathmandu, to collaborate on enhancing the safety of trekkers and supporting trekking workers.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both organizations, including Mr. Bishnu Pd. Lamsal (First Vice President), Mr. Sonam G. Sherpa (General Secretary), Mr. Gautam R. Wagle (Treasurer), and other members of TAAN’s Executive Committee such as Mr. Ambir Gurung, Mr. Bikas Gurung, and Mr. Hom Bdr. Bishwakarma, along with Mr. Ram Chandra Sedai (CEO). From JIBG, the event saw the participation of Mr. Sudarshan Neupane (Director), Mr. Ashish Thapa (CEO), and Mr. Sumek Neupane (CMO).
As part of the agreement, JIBG, the authorized distributor of HUMTTO products in Nepal, will become the official Trekking Gear Partner for TAAN in 2025. JIBG will provide high-quality HUMTTO trekking gear at affordable prices and partner with TAAN in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
In return, TAAN will encourage its member agencies to use HUMTTO products such as trekking shoes, jackets, t-shirts, trekking poles, and inner clothing to ensure trekkers have access to durable and reliable gear, ultimately contributing to safer trekking experiences in Nepal’s rugged landscapes.
