Tanka Prasad Pokharel has been re-elected for a second term as Chairman of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce Lumbini Province. The provincial convention also saw the election of a new working committee to support his leadership.
The newly elected committee comprises Shreedhar Mahara as Senior Vice-President, J.P. Kandel and Chandraprakash Shrestha as Vice-Presidents, and Lokhari Shrestha as Associate Vice-President. Shiva Gyawali has been appointed as General Secretary, Ajay Neupane as Secretary, and Khim Bahadur Khatri as Treasurer. Additionally, Yubaraj Neupane and several other members were selected to serve on the committee.
During the convention, Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya underscored the critical role of agricultural development in achieving economic prosperity. He advocated for increased investment in agriculture and tourism to drive economic growth.
Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, President of the Chamber, stressed the importance of policy stability and the need to effectively market local agricultural produce to boost the region’s economic prospects.
