Thai Airways canceled its scheduled afternoon flight from Kathmandu to Bangkok today due to a technical issue. The flight, initially set to depart at 1:25 PM, encountered an unforeseen technical problem, according to Tribhuvan International Airport authorities.
Jagan Nath Niraula, the airport’s General Manager, reported that a replacement Thai Airways aircraft is expected to arrive from Bangkok at midnight. “The incoming aircraft will bring spare parts and technical experts to repair the grounded plane. Unfortunately, today’s flight could not operate as planned,” he stated.
A total of 296 passengers were prepared to board the flight to Bangkok. Thai Airways’ General Sales Agent, Society International, has arranged hotel accommodations for the affected travelers, ensuring their comfort until the rescheduled departure.
