Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and Drukair – Royal Bhutan Airlines have officially signed an Interline Agreement aimed at enhancing network connectivity and providing passengers with a more seamless travel experience. The signing ceremony took place in Paro, Bhutan, where Chai Eamsiri, Chief Executive Officer of THAI, and Tandi Wangchuk, Chief Executive Officer of Drukair, formalized the agreement, marking a new chapter in regional aviation collaboration.

The Interline Agreement allows travelers to book a single ticket combining THAI and Drukair flights, making journeys more convenient. Passengers will also benefit from through check-in for both passengers and baggage to the final destination, eliminating the need for multiple check-ins and reducing transit times at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Additionally, the partnership introduces competitive interline fares, offering passengers more flexible and cost-effective travel options across the combined networks.

Passengers from Northern Asia and Australia can now conveniently connect to Paro via Bangkok,” he said.

Tandi Wangchuk, CEO of Drukair, emphasized the benefits for Bhutan-bound travelers. “This partnership marks an important milestone for Drukair. Our passengers will now have easier access to Thai Airways’ extensive international network through Bangkok,” he noted.
