The Department of Commerce, Supplies, and Consumer Protection has imposed a fine of NPR 200,000 on The Entrance Café in Lalitpur for multiple violations. The café, located in Chakupat, was found to be involved in the relabeling of products and tampering with the quality, quantity, price, and measurement of goods.

The fine was issued following a regular inspection by the department, which uncovered these discrepancies.

In a related action, the department also sealed a spice manufacturing industry located in Kageshwari Manohara on Friday. The sector has been instructed to present all necessary documents within 24 hours.

These actions are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure consumer protection and maintain fair business practices.
