Three Indian Tourists and Nepali Guide Rescued After 12 Hours in Nagarkot Jungle

Three Indian tourists and their Nepali guide, who went missing while exploring the Muhankopkhari-Ranijhula area in Nagarkot, Bhaktapur, have been safely rescued after a 12-hour search.

The tourists, Nitin Tiwari, Rashmi Tiwari, and Tanis Tiwari, along with their guide, Hariprasad Kharel, lost their way in the jungle while visiting the popular Ranijhula area. They were successfully located and rescued after 12 hours, according to Changunarayan Municipality Mayor Jeevan Khatri.

Upon learning of the missing tourists, Mayor Khatri immediately took to social media to call for assistance in the search. Responding swiftly, a team comprising Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, municipal police, local representatives, and residents initiated a search operation. The group was eventually found in the Halhale Khop (Kholchi) area of the jungle.

After the successful rescue, the tourists and their guide were handed over to the Khairpati Police Department, as confirmed by the mayor’s secretary, Gokarna Puri.
