Three Nepali Hotels Ranked Among the World’s Best Luxury Boutique Hotels at IBA 2024

In a significant achievement for Nepal’s hospitality industry, three Nepali hotels have been selected as some of the best luxury boutique hotels in the world. The 13th edition of India’s prestigious India’s Best Awards (IBA) 2024 has honored Shinta Mani Mustang, The Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu, and Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge in Pokhara for their exceptional service, facilities, and distinctive appeal.

The IBA, organized by Travel+Leisure India & South Asia, annually recognizes the finest hotels and resorts worldwide. This year’s awards were presented under the theme of “Art of Discovery,” celebrating the pursuit of discovering unique and stunning locations. With this theme, IBA has celebrated hotels, airports, cruise ships, and various other global venues that offer remarkable vistas and experiences.

Among the top ten luxury boutique hotels selected this year, Nepal’s representation was strong, with three properties making the cut. In addition to the Nepali hotels, the list also includes prestigious properties from across the globe, such as two from Morocco and one each from Sri Lanka, Australia, Thailand, Bhutan, and Singapore.

The inclusion of these Nepalese hotels—Shinta Mani Mustang, The Dwarika’s Hotel, and Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge—reflects the growing international recognition of Nepal as a top destination for luxury travel. This achievement not only highlights the rich hospitality culture of Nepal but also enhances the country’s reputation as a prominent player in the global tourism sector.
