Tilicho Lake, situated in the Ngisyang Rural Municipality-9 of Manang district, known for its breathtaking natural beauty, has become a major destination for both domestic and international tourists. This pristine lake, perched at an altitude of 4,919 meters above sea level, is renowned for being one of the highest lakes in the world.

According to local tourism officials, Tilicho Lake currently attracts between 200 to 250 tourists daily. The region’s unique blend of towering Himalayan landscapes, serene surroundings, and cultural richness makes it a must-visit destination for trekkers and adventurers alike.

Manang district, located beyond the Himalayan range, is a sought-after tourist hotspot, and the trek to Tilicho Lake has gained immense popularity in recent years. Tourists are drawn not only by the challenge of the high-altitude trek but also by the stunning views of the surrounding Annapurna range, making it one of the most rewarding experiences for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Local tourism officials are optimistic that the number of visitors to Tilicho Lake will continue to grow, as improved accessibility and the lake’s international recognition as a natural wonder further solidify its status as a premier destination in Nepal’s trekking circuit.
