Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has emphasized the need to establish air connectivity between Janakpur and Ayodhya.
Speaking at an international symposium titled “Ram on the Global Stage: Literary, Social, and Cultural Perspectives” organized by Tribhuvan University’s Central Department of Hindi, Minister Pandey highlighted the importance of strengthening religious ties through air connectivity. He mentioned that the ministry is preparing for this initiative to enhance bilateral and cultural relations between Nepal and India.
The Tourism Minister underscored the growing influence of Lord Ram’s teachings globally and urged Nepalese and Indian citizens around the world to contribute to the revival of Ram’s philosophical essence. He stated that air connectivity would play a pivotal role in fostering deeper connections and promoting spiritual tourism.
The two-day symposium will feature discussions on various aspects of Lord Ram’s life and teachings. Addressing international representatives participating in the event, Minister Pandey called on them to support Nepal in showcasing its diverse cultural heritage on the global stage.
This initiative aligns with the broader efforts to strengthen Nepal’s cultural tourism by leveraging shared heritage with neighboring India.
