Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badriprasad Pandey, has emphasized the need to review the accuracy of investigation reports produced by committees formed after aviation accidents.
Addressing a two-day workshop on aviation safety organized by the Airline Operators Association of Nepal today, Minister Pandey stated that it is time to assess how factual and evidence-based these investigation committees are in their findings.
“Investigation committees are formed after accidents. It is time to review how much these committees rely on facts and evidence,” said Pandey. “If the reports are indeed factual, we need to consider why their recommendations are not being implemented.”
Minister Pandey also expressed concern over the erosion of public trust in the aviation sector, even among domestic air passengers. He stressed the need for concerned authorities to take these issues seriously and act with greater awareness.
