Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Pandey, has emphasized that Sudurpaschim Province remains an untouched region with immense potential for religious tourism.
Speaking during a discussion with tourism entrepreneurs from Sudurpaschim on Thursday, Minister Pandey stated, “Sudurpaschim is a virgin destination for tourism, yet it has been left behind by the state. It also lags in terms of the Human Development Index.” He added that he plans to work collaboratively with political parties and stakeholders to develop the region’s tourism potential.
The minister further highlighted that Nepal is rich in language, civilization, culture, attire, and tourism opportunities.
He pointed out that enhancing the effectiveness of the civil aviation sector would contribute to economic growth by promoting culture and tourism. Minister Pandey also assured that he has a thorough understanding of the ministry’s overall functions and will prioritize his actions accordingly.
Additionally, he clarified that the ministry is actively addressing and amending policy and legal errors to ensure progress in the tourism and aviation sectors.
