Tourist guides in Pokhara have pledged to support the promotion of the International Mountain Museum, located in Rato Pahiro, Pokhara Metropolitan City-17. During a discussion held on Tuesday with museum officials and stakeholders, emphasis was placed on including the museum as a key destination for visitors to Pokhara.
At the event, attended by members of the Pokhara City Tour Guide Association, Kuman Singh Gurung, Secretary of the Gandaki Province Ministry of Industry and Tourism, described the Mountain Museum as an attractive man-made tourist destination in Pokhara. He also assured that the provincial government would support its development and promotion.
Aanand Gurung, president of the Pokhara City Tour Guide Association, expressed the association’s willingness to assist in promoting the museum. Similarly, museum committee member Shesh kant Sharma stated that the Mountain Museum is already a popular choice among tourists visiting Pokhara.
The event included a presentation on tourism development in Pokhara and its cultural heritage. Executive Director of the museum, Nirmala Kumari Neupane, mentioned that the program aimed to inform local guides about the museum and develop future strategies for its promotion.
