The company, established by Non-Resident Nepalis (NRN), is actively involved in providing hotel management training and digital marketing services. According to Somnath Sapkota, Chief Strategy Officer of Traviality Nepal, the company is currently collaborating with 27 hotels of various sizes and aims to partner with 1,000 hotels within the next year.

The launch of Attic Hotel Inn was held in Kathmandu today, with Ram Prasad Sapkota (Kamal), Vice-Chairman of Nepal Tourism Board, and Binayak Shah, President of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), jointly inaugurating the event.

During the occasion, Dr. Narayan Prasad Regmi, Director General of the Department of Tourism, expressed the department’s commitment to enhancing collaboration and partnerships with the private sector for the promotion of the tourism industry. He emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing tourism infrastructure to attract more foreign tourists.

Vice-Chairman Sapkota of the Nepal Tourism Board shared that the entry of new hotel brands into the infrastructure would greatly contribute to the promotion of Nepal’s tourism industry. He also revealed that the board is working on a budget and a strategic plan for national and international tourism promotion.

Hotel Association Nepal President, Binayak Shah, highlighted the increasing number of star-rated and chain hotels being established in Nepal. He pointed out that the current hotel infrastructure could accommodate 3.5 million tourists, stressing the need for optimal utilization of these facilities.

Somnath Sapkota, Chief Strategy Officer of Traviality Nepal, shared that the recent introduction of international hotel brands would further boost tourism in Nepal. He also mentioned that the launch of the Attic Inn Hotel and Resort brand aims to improve the hotel occupancy rate, which currently stands at around 30-40%, by enhancing hotel services and facilities.

Traviality Nepal operates on a franchise model through a reservation system, assisting in the management, promotion, market management, and quality enhancement of small to large hotels. Attic Hotel Inn Express caters to budget-conscious tourists, while Attic 2-star and Attic Plus manage higher-end hotels, also providing staff training.

Additionally, the company has partnered with the American brand Best Western Plus to manage Hotel Rhino, which is set to open in October. Chief Strategy Officer Sapkota noted that through these brands, Nepal would not only see the promotion of tourism but also attract foreign investments, generate employment, introduce new technologies, and raise the profile of Nepal as a travel destination.
