On November 6, 2024 (Kartik 21, 2081), a special program was organized by TAAN Gandaki to distribute trekking boots, socks, jackets, T-shirts, and essential medicines to trekking support staff working in Nepal’s trekking regions. The event was a collaborative effort with TAAN Gandaki member company L.N. Tex & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., the support of the organization Never Ending Journey, and sponsorship from “On Shoes.”
The distribution aimed to provide appropriate gear to trekking support staff who often face challenges due to inadequate footwear and gear while guiding trekking routes. Netherlands national Oscar Delgado facilitated the sponsorship, emphasizing the importance of equipping local trekking assistants with quality footwear for safety and comfort.
The initiative was coordinated by L.N. Tex & Expedition representatives Prem Kumar Adhikari and Krishna Pokharel, who played a key role in organizing the logistics and ensuring that essential supplies reached those in need. This collaborative event underlines TAAN Gandaki’s commitment to supporting and uplifting the trekking community in Nepal.
