Tribhuvan International Airport has resumed operations following a temporary closure due to a Saurya Airlines crash earlier today.
A Bhutan Airlines flight, which was held in the air for some time, successfully landed after the airport reopened. The incident occurred at 11:11 AM when Saurya Airlines’ flight 9N-AME crashed, resulting in the tragic loss of 18 lives, as confirmed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
The captain of the flight survived the crash but sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at KMC Hospital.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash, ensuring that necessary measures are taken to prevent future occurrences.
