Two candidates have announced their candidacy for the position of President of the Thamel Tourism Development Council. The election, scheduled for July 15 during the 28th and 29th General Assembly and Convention of the Council, sees current President Bhabishwar Sharma and former General Secretary Dhruba Adhikari vying for the top post.
For the three Vice President positions, the candidates are Sahadev (Bimal) Dhamala, Rajib Pandey, Chetnath Pudasaini, and Shree Krishna Thapaliya. The nominees for General Secretary are Badri Prasad Timalsina and Sojeshman Malakar, according to Election Officer Umadevi Prasai.
Additionally, the Secretary position has two candidates, Punyaram Lageju and Dilip (Milan) Kandel. Prakash Thapaliya is the sole candidate for Treasurer.
For the member positions, the candidates are Kopila Simkhada, Roshan Adhikari, Kumar Nepali, Purnaprasad Chaulagai, Binod Shrestha, Amrit Thokar (Lama), Sanukaji Maharjan, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Ranjayman Pradhan, Nabin Tamang, Sudarshan Khanal, Janaksingh Tamang, Badriprasad Aryal, and Lalbabu Chaudhary, as stated by Election Officer Prasai.
A total of 1,193 members are eligible to vote in this election.
