Weather in the country is currently influenced by a partial westerly low-pressure system and local winds, resulting in varying conditions across different regions.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the hilly regions will witness partly to generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will remain partly cloudy. This atmospheric condition is expected to result in light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several areas of the hilly regions. Specifically, a few places in the hilly areas, along with one or two locations in the hilly regions of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces, are likely to experience light showers.
Additionally, light snowfall is expected in some parts of the high hilly and mountainous regions. A few locations in these elevated areas of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces are likely to receive snowfall, while isolated instances of snowfall may also occur in the remaining high-altitude regions of these provinces.
Meanwhile, the Division has issued a cautionary notice for residents of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, warning them of potential storms and their impacts in certain areas. Authorities have advised people to adopt necessary safety measures to minimize risks associated with strong winds and storm-related hazards. As the weather patterns continue to fluctuate, the Division has urged travelers, farmers, and residents to stay updated with official forecasts and take precautionary actions accordingly.
