The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that monsoon winds are currently affecting the eastern regions of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces. Meanwhile, the western regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces are experiencing the influence of westerly winds.
As of now, Koshi Province is witnessing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country enjoys mostly clear weather. According to the department’s weather bulletin, released at 6:00 AM today, light rainfall occurs in one or two locations within Koshi Province.
For the afternoon, the department forecasts partly to generally cloudy skies in Koshi, Madhesh, and the hilly regions of the country, with the rest of Nepal expected to have clear weather. There is a chance of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi Province and one or two locations in other provinces.
Similarly, tonight’s forecast predicts partly to generally cloudy weather in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. Some parts of the hilly regions, including a few locations in Koshi and Madhes, may experience light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning.
Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in a few places in Koshi Province and one or two locations in other provinces
