The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in one or two places in the hilly regions of the country today. This weather pattern is influenced by the combined effect of westerly and local winds across the nation.
According to the department, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.
As for tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. However, there remains a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in the hilly areas of these provinces, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to stay cautious during potential thunderstorms and follow safety guidelines.
