The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports a partial influence of both westerly and local winds affecting the hilly regions across Nepal.
The hilly regions in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to experience partly to generally cloudy weather this afternoon, while fair weather is anticipated in other parts of the country. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with isolated showers possible in the hilly areas of other provinces. Additionally, light snowfall is forecasted for some high-altitude locations in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will remain partly to generally cloudy. One or two places within these regions may experience light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. Light snowfall is also expected at certain high-altitude and mountainous locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
