The celebrations also included the announcement of the best photograph showcasing the Annapurna region’s stunning landscape, rich ecosystem, and diverse people.

To mark the occasion, special programs were held to welcome tourists at eight key checkposts along the Annapurna Circuit route, including Lamjung Simpani, Manang Dharapani, Tanki Manang, Mustang Muktinath, Jomsom, Ghasa, Myagdi Shika, and Kaski Birethanti. Additionally, two checkposts located on the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trekking route at Pothana and Chhomrong, as well as two checkposts along the Upper Mustang trekking route at Kagbeni and Lomanthang, also participated in the festivities.

As part of the celebration, tourism promotion interactions were organized at Lwang and Siklesh UCOs (User Committee Offices), highlighting the local community’s role in sustainable tourism. In Jomsom, a lively street rally was conducted to further promote tourism in the region. These events were aimed at boosting tourism in the Annapurna region, showcasing its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and trekking opportunities while encouraging eco-friendly tourism practices.
