Yoga Festival to Promote Yoga Tourism in Nepal

A Yoga Festival aimed at promoting yoga tourism in Nepal is set to take place in Pokhara from Ashwin 30 to Kartik 3. The event is being organized by the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), as announced during a recent press conference.

According to HAN President Vinayak Shah, the festival is part of the association’s ongoing efforts to boost tourism through spiritual activities. He stated that the four-day event will feature both local and international yoga experts, who will conduct various yoga sessions, contributing to the growth of spiritual tourism in Nepal.

Notable experts like Guru Shri Antaryogi Chaitanya, Prakash Thapa from Antaryoga Center, Grammy-nominated Manoj, Peter Sterios, and Charya Nritya Dance Guru Prajwalratna Vajracharya will lead workshops on yoga and meditation during the festival. Shah emphasized that this event would play a significant role in the sustainable development of the country’s tourism sector.

HAN General Secretary Sajan Shakya also noted that the festival would further enhance Nepal’s tourism on an international level. The participation fee for Nepalese attendees is set at NPR 3,000 per day, while foreign participants will be charged NPR 6,500 per day.

Additionally, former president of the Chef Association Shyam Lama shared that the festival will offer around 50 varieties of traditional Nepalese dishes, enriching the cultural experience for attendees.

The Yoga Festival aims to blend wellness, spirituality, and cultural heritage, making it a key event in promoting yoga tourism in Nepal.
