On January 28, 2026, a joint international team led by 14 Peaks Expedition successfully reached the summit of Mt. Aconcagua (6,961m), the tallest peak in the Western and Southern Hemispheres, despite one of the most challenging climbing seasons in recent years. The summit was achieved at 2:11 pm, under the leadership of Tashi Lakpa Sherpa and Nima Rinji Sherpa, both of Nepal.

International Team Collaboration
The expedition was organized in partnership with Argentina-based Inka Expediciones and included climbers from around the world. Key summit team members were Evelyn Duarte Lara (Mexico), Richard William Chambers (UK), Shahad A M H D Alzaabi (Kuwait), Matias Yoel Fabrizio (Argentina), and expedition doctor Catalina Giusti (Argentina). Several other climbers, including Martin Sevcak (Czech Republic) and Angus Paradice (Australia), supported the team along the route.
