Under the theme “Let’s Eat, Enjoy, and Dance on the Streets,” the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara is preparing for the 26th edition of the Pokhara Street Festival. Known as one of Nepal’s most unique festivals, the event aims to showcase local cuisine, culture, and entertainment while attracting thousands of visitors.
To ensure its success, REBAN Pokhara has initiated consultations with restaurant owners affiliated with the organization. On Wednesday, REBAN conducted an interactive discussion with its members, key sponsors, co-sponsors, and supporters. Participants emphasized the need to enhance the festival’s organization to maintain its reputation as a distinctive national event.
Bikash Bhattarai, Vice President of REBAN Pokhara and coordinator of the festival, shared details about this year’s attractions. The festival will feature a variety of food stalls, musical performances, entertainment, and sports activities. Key highlights include live bands and multiple stages across Lakeside, with the main stage set at Komagane Park.
REBAN President Bishworaj Paudel announced that the festival will span nearly four kilometers, starting from Fishtail Gate and extending to Ammat, Gaurighat, Hallanchowk, and Jarebar in the east. Past sponsors, including Gorkha Brewery, Barun Beverages’ Pepsi, and Khukuri Rum, have pledged continued support for the event, according to former President Naresh Bhattarai.
Advisory Committee Coordinator Ganesh Bahadur Bhattarai remarked that over its 26 editions, the Pokhara Street Festival has successfully established Pokhara’s unique identity internationally. He stressed the importance of business unity for its continued success.
General Secretary Birendra Sherchan, while hosting the program, urged all residents of Pokhara to contribute to making this year’s festival a grand success. With its vibrant celebrations and diverse attractions, the Pokhara Street Festival continues to solidify its position as a hallmark event, promoting tourism and cultural heritage in Nepal.
