Sichuan Airlines will operate a chartered flight from Chengdu to Pokhara on December 26, bringing Chinese tourists to the popular tourist destination. Gyanendra Bhul, the Information Officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), confirmed the news, stating that after disembarking the Chinese passengers in Pokhara, the flight will continue to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
The aircraft will then resume its regular route between Kathmandu and Chengdu. This marks the airline’s second chartered service to Pokhara, following a similar flight from Kunming in October. Sichuan Airlines’ General Sales Agent (GSA) in Nepal is Society International Travel.
This new chartered flight highlights the growing interest among Chinese tourists in visiting Nepal, particularly Pokhara, which continues to be a major attraction for travelers seeking scenic beauty and adventure tourism.
