Pokhara International Airport marked a significant milestone as a single-engine private jet from the European company Jell Air landed on Thursday evening. This is the first-ever charter flight from India to Pokhara, nearly two years after the airport became operational.
According to airport spokesperson Jasoda Subedi, the aircraft carried four passengers and crew members. The jet landed at 5:50 PM on Thursday and stayed overnight in Pokhara. On Friday, the plane is scheduled to depart for Bangladesh.

The airport has previously witnessed charter flights from China and Bhutan. Additionally, on November 18 (Mangsir 2), an American jet from Wingtip Corporation landed at the airport for parking purposes.
The upcoming Dragon Boat Race in Pokhara is expected to bring in international participants. Scheduled for December 26 (Poush 11), a charter flight by Sichuan Airlines from China will bring athletes to the event, further highlighting Pokhara’s growing prominence in the tourism and aviation sectors.
With increasing international interest, Pokhara International Airport continues to evolve as a key gateway for tourism and special events in Nepal.
