NATTA Successfully Concludes 57th Annual General Meeting and Election

The Office of the Election Officer of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) successfully conducted its 57th Annual General Meeting and Election Program on June 7, 2024, at the Radisson Hotel in Lazimpat. The event culminated in the announcement of the final vote results for various key positions within the association.

Kumar Mani Thapaliya was elected President with 276 votes, defeating Pramod Dahal who received 105 votes. Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha was elected unopposed as Senior Vice President, continuing in the role without contest. Similarly, Ghanashyam Ghimire secured the position of Vice-President unopposed, reflecting a strong consensus among voters.

Yubika Bhandari was elected Secretary-General with 243 votes, surpassing Amrit Kumar Dhakal who received 136 votes. Bishnu Pandey was elected unopposed as Secretary, maintaining the trend of consensus for key positions. Suresh Amgain and Dhak Nath Kafle were also elected unopposed for the Treasurer and Co-Treasurer positions, respectively.

The election for Members was competitive, with eight positions available. The elected members and their respective vote counts are as follows:

  1. Shraddha Joshi – 290 votes
  2. Sudarshan Paudel – 286 votes
  3. Bidur Prasad Khatiwada – 275 votes
  4. Krishna Prasad Dhakal (Desire Nepal) – 273 votes
  5. Bijay Rizal – 258 votes
  6. Rama Kumari Pyakurel – 258 votes
  7. Krishna Prasad Dhakal (Kathmandu Holiday) – 253 votes
  8. Ram Svobit Nayak – 250 votes

The successful conclusion of the election program highlights the vibrant democratic process within NATTA, ensuring the association continues to effectively represent the interests of tour and travel agents in Nepal.
