The meeting of the Executive Council of Pashupati Area Development Trust, chaired by Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Hit Bahadur Tamang, has appointed Subhash Chandra Joshi as the Executive Director.
Subhash Chandra Joshi was selected through an open competition, as announced by the ministry. With over two decades of experience in leadership roles in the education sector, Joshi took the oath of office today. Emphasizing his commitment to following the latest working procedures, Joshi expressed confidence in coordinating with all stakeholders to advance based on the current situation.
He highlighted Pashupati’s role as the center of Hindu faith worldwide and expressed his efforts to strengthen it further and contribute to its development. This appointment comes after a recent controversy over the appointment process of the Executive Director of the Pashupati Development Trust, which led to Joshi’s appointment through open competition under Minister Tamang’s guidance.
The position of Executive Director of the Trust is classified as a specialized category or equivalent to the position of Secretary in the Government of Nepal. Joshi has been informed by the Trust to assume office immediately.
