A new “Temple Bell Boutique Hotel” has recently begun soft operations in Pokhara from April 4. According to Bishworaj Poudel, the president of the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) and the chairman of the hotel, the formal inauguration is scheduled for later this Nepali month.

He revealed that this four-star luxury hotel has a boutique concept throughout its entire design. It has 55 rooms total, including five Super Deluxe and 47 Deluxe rooms, as well as two suite types: a Presidential Suite and a Junior Suite. According to him, the hotel is currently experiencing a strong influx of guests and is working toward official recognition as a four-star boutique hotel. The hotel was established with joint investment from Bishworaj and his brother Bhishmaraj Poudel, who also serves as REBAN Pokhara’s secretary.

For roughly thirty years, the Poudel brothers have been involved in the tourism industry. In 1988, Bishworaj began working for the Narayani Group of Hospitality. He opened one of Pokhara’s most well-known eateries, “Chilly Bar,” in 2008. He then built the “Himalayan Glory” hotel, which has 15 luxurious rooms and a restaurant.

The hotel introduces several firsts for Pokhara, including separate spa facilities for men and women, and a hot jacuzzi connected to a swimming pool. Soon to open is a restaurant called “Bhojanakakshya,” which honors Nepali Himalayan heritage. The hotel also has a fine dining restaurant called “Aati” with 60 seats, a conference hall called “Buddha Sadan” that can accommodate 150 people, and a bar called “Madhu Shala” that can accommodate 30 people. Dispersed over 2.5 ropani (approx. 0.13 hectares), the hotel is built entirely with a Nepali theme, featuring traditional boutique-style decor, and extensive use of wood and stone.
