Pokhara Welcomes a Grand Addition: Temple Bell Boutique Hotel and Spa Debuts with Rs 1.25 Billion Investment

Pokhara, the tourism capital of Nepal, has added another gem to its hospitality landscape with the soft opening of the four-star Temple Bell Boutique Hotel and Spa, a luxurious property located at Street No. 17, Lalupate Marg, Lakeside. The hotel has been launched under the leadership of tourism entrepreneurs Bishowraj Paudel and Visma Raj Paudel, who operate under the banner of the Chilli Group of Pokhara. The soft opening took place on the eve of the Nepali New Year, marking a significant addition to the city’s growing tourism infrastructure.

At a press conference held on Monday, hotel chairman Bishowraj Paudel announced that the hotel had officially begun operations with a vision to provide international-standard services while celebrating Nepali heritage. Constructed on approximately 2.5 ropanis of land, the hotel was built at a cost of around Rs 550 million, with the total investment, including land valuation, exceeding Rs 1.25 billion.

The Temple Bell Boutique Hotel and Spa boasts 55 rooms in total, comprising 47 deluxe rooms, 5 super deluxe rooms, 2 junior suites, and 1 presidential suite. The hotel is designed with a fusion of modern architecture and traditional Nepali aesthetics, incorporating Nepali woodcraft, stonework, Dhaka fabric, Thangka paintings, chandeliers, and local artwork throughout its interiors. The hotel’s environmentally friendly layout features cozy rooms, open spaces, and thoughtfully designed corridors that provide a unique sense of Nepali identity and warmth.

This luxurious hotel complex includes two interconnected blocks and offers a wide range of facilities such as a swimming pool, spa, conference hall, multiple restaurants, and bars. Notably, for the first time in Pokhara, the hotel offers separate spa facilities for men and women, along with a hot jacuzzi connected to the swimming pool, enhancing the comfort and relaxation of its guests.

The dining options at the hotel are equally impressive. ‘Bhojanakaksha’, the main restaurant, showcases Himalayan culinary traditions of Nepal, while ‘Aati’, a fine dining restaurant, seats up to 60 guests. For those seeking a casual drink, the in-house bar ‘Madhusala’ accommodates around 30 people. The conference facility, named ‘Buddha Sadan’, can host up to 150 attendees, making it ideal for both business events and social gatherings.

According to Visma Raj Paudel, the hotel aims to serve both domestic and international tourists, offering them a unique boutique experience that reflects the cultural richness and natural beauty of Pokhara. With ample underground parking and other modern amenities, the hotel ensures a blend of comfort and tradition.

The Chilli Group, which already operates 360 Degree Sky Lounge, Himalayan Glory Inn, and Chilli Bar and Restaurant, has now expanded its hospitality footprint through this premium venture. With the opening of Temple Bell Boutique Hotel and Spa, the group has increased its workforce to approximately 150 employees, contributing significantly to the local economy and job creation. In essence, Temple Bell Boutique Hotel and Spa is not just a place to stay it is a cultural and sensory experience that captures the essence of Pokhara’s hospitality in a luxurious setting.
