In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the ‘Nepal Aviation Authority Bill, 2081’ was officially presented. Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, proposed the motion for the consideration of the bill. The House unanimously approved the proposal.

Responding to suggestions from various members of parliament, Minister Pandey assured that valuable inputs would be incorporated during the amendment process to make the bill more effective and comprehensive. He also informed the assembly that the bill was introduced in response to both national and international requirements for strengthening Nepal’s aviation sector.

During the discussion on the proposal, several lawmakers shared their views and recommendations. Those participating included MPs Udaya Shamsher Rana, Eknath Dhakal, Rajendra Kumar KC, Ramhari Khatiwada, Roshan Karki, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Ranjukamari Jha, Prem Suwal, Basudev Ghimire, Nagina Yadav, Sumana Shrestha, Laxmi Tiwari, Shiva Nepali, Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh, Narayani Sharma, Durga Rai, Gyan Basnet Subedi, Sudan Kirati, Prem Ale, Ram Krishna Yadav, Hitraj Tamang, Pratima Gautam, Bhagwati Chaudhary, Manish Jha, Hitraj Pandey, Kusum Devi Thapa, Rajendra Bajgain, Madhav Sapkota, Lekhnath Dahal, Thakur Prasad Gaire, Ranendra Barali, Saraj Ahmad Farooqi, Dayal Bahadur Shahi, and Maina Karki.

Earlier in the session, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Mr. Santosh Chalise, presented the ‘Customs Bill Committee Report, 2081.’ Similarly, Chairperson of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee, Ms. Bimala Subedi, presented the ‘Committee Report on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2081.’ The day’s parliamentary session reflected significant legislative progress, particularly in the areas of aviation, customs, and legal reforms, marking important steps toward modernizing Nepal’s governance frameworks.
