Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has announced a temporary change in its flight schedule to Gulmi. Previously operating four flights weekly on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the airline will now operate only one flight per week for the time being.
Suman Thapa, Station Chief at Resunga Airport, explained that the reduction is due to operational constraints. “In the past, we conducted four flights a week. For now, flights will be available only on Thursdays,” he said.

Aircraft Availability and Maintenance Issues
The schedule adjustment comes as two of NAC’s Twin Otter aircraft have been grounded, leaving only one operational. Thapa noted that this limitation necessitated changes to the regular flight timetable.
Weather Disruptions Affect Operations
Gulmi’s challenging weather conditions have also impacted flight regularity. Over the past one and a half months, adverse weather, including heavy fog and storms, has frequently disrupted flight operations, making consistent scheduling difficult.
Nepal Airlines Flight Timings and Fare Structure
The airline has set the revised timetable for the 18-seat Twin Otter aircraft, with departures from Kathmandu to Gulmi at 6:30 AM and the return flight from Gulmi to Kathmandu at 7:30 AM. The fare has been fixed at NPR 7,500 from Kathmandu to Gulmi and NPR 7,300 from Gulmi to Kathmandu.

Commercial Operations Since 2080 Baishakh 29
NAC first began commercial operations to Gulmi on 2080 Baisakh 29. The current temporary reduction reflects both operational limitations and the airline’s efforts to maintain safe and reliable service amid these challenges.
Passengers are advised to check with Nepal Airlines before planning travel, as future flights may be adjusted depending on aircraft availability and weather conditions.
