A cycling rally was organized to promote religious and historical sites in the district. The event, hosted by ‘Panauti Bike Station,’ began in Panauti and concluded after traversing Dhulikhel, Bhattidanda, Kavrebhanjyang, Namo Buddha, and returning to Panauti.
The rally was organized to prepare a cycling route for religious pilgrimages and to convey the message that the district’s religious and tourist sites can be explored by bicycle, as explained by Station Head Bipin Shrestha.
Ward Chairperson Binod Khatri of Panauti Municipality-5 highlighted that the rally aimed to boost internal tourism in key religious sites of the district, including Panauti, Dhulikhel, and Namo Buddha.
The event was inaugurated on Saturday by Panauti Municipality Mayor Ramsharan Bhandari and Deputy Mayor Geeta Banjara. The rally saw participation from around 200 individuals.
